Who We Are — The Story Behind Heavy Duty Hire

I left my full-time job to chase this. That's not a comfortable sentence to write, but it's the truth — and it's the foundation of everything Heavy Duty Hire is built on.

where it started

Heavy Duty Hire was founded in July 2024 by Adam Marshall. After years working in heavy equipment maintenance, crushing and screening, and civil operations across WA — including building a crushing and screening business to $3 million turnover and working in facility management with MACA Mining — the idea was simple: build a hire company that actually understands what contractors need on site.

Not a call centre. Not a hire desk that doesn't know the machines. A small, experienced team that picks up the phone, knows the equipment, and delivers on what they say.

What we do

Heavy Duty Hire supplies dry hire earthmoving equipment, generators and site accommodation to civil, construction and mining projects across Western Australia. Our fleet includes:

• Excavators from 1.7T to 30T

• Skid steer and wheeled loaders

• Tippers and watercarts

• Generators from 30kVA to 250kVA (diesel and hybrid)

• Turnkey site compound packages

We're based in Malaga and we deliver across all of WA.

In November 2025, Heavy Duty Hire became a member of the Civil Contractors Federation WA. We're committed to operating to the highest standards in the WA civil construction industry and building long-term relationships with the contractors and clients we work alongside.
